Withdrawal of Manuscript
Green Construction Journal (GCJ) recognizes that authors may occasionally request the withdrawal of a manuscript due to legitimate reasons. However, manuscript withdrawal is discouraged once the editorial and peer-review processes have commenced, as it may result in a significant waste of valuable resources, time, and effort contributed by editors, reviewers, and the journal management.
Authors who wish to withdraw their manuscript must submit a formal written request to the Editor-in-Chief, signed by the corresponding author and, when applicable, co-authors. The request must clearly state the reasons for withdrawal and be submitted before a final editorial decision has been made. The editorial board reserves the right to evaluate the validity of the withdrawal request before granting approval.
Once a manuscript has entered the peer-review process, withdrawal requests will only be considered under exceptional circumstances. Manuscripts that have been accepted for publication or are undergoing copyediting, layout editing, or proofreading cannot be withdrawn except for reasons related to significant errors, ethical concerns, or other circumstances approved by the Editorial Board.
Authors are strongly advised not to submit the same manuscript simultaneously to multiple journals. If a manuscript is found to have been submitted elsewhere without notification or withdrawn without following the journal's official procedures, the editorial board may impose sanctions, including rejection of future submissions from the author(s) for a specified period.
The withdrawal policy is established to maintain the integrity, transparency, and efficiency of the scholarly publication process while ensuring fairness to editors, reviewers, and the academic community.
Withdrawal Procedure
Authors requesting manuscript withdrawal must:
- Submit a formal withdrawal request via email to the editorial office.
- Provide a clear explanation of the reasons for withdrawal.
- Obtain consent from all co-authors, where applicable.
- Await official confirmation from the Editor-in-Chief before considering the manuscript withdrawn.
A manuscript shall only be regarded as officially withdrawn after the author receives written approval from the editorial office.
