Abstract

PT. Smartfren Telecom, Tbk is a telecommunication service provider operator based on CDMA technology that has a cellular license and limited mobility (fixed wireless access), and has the widest CDMA EV-DO network coverage (mobile broadband network equivalent to 3G) in Indonesia. Smartfren is also the first telecommunications operator in the world to provide CDMA EV-DO Rev.B services (equivalent to 3.5G with download speeds of up to 14.7 Mbps) and the first CDMA operator to provide Blackberry services. In order for IT services to provide benefits to the business, these IT services must first be designed with reference to the business objectives of the customer. Service Transition provides guidance for IT organizations to be able to develop and the ability to transform the results of IT service designs both new and modified IT services specifications into the operational environment. Service Operation is a lifecycle stage that includes all daily operational activities of managing IT services. In it there are various guidelines on how to manage IT services efficiently and effectively and ensure the level of performance that has been agreed with customers in advance. ITIL or Information Technology Infrastructure Library is a series of concepts and techniques for infrastructure management, development, and operation of information technology (IT). ITIL is published in a series of books, each of which addresses an IT management topic. ITIL provides detailed descriptions of some important IT practices with comprehensive checklists, tasks and procedures that can be adapted to any type of IT organization.On June 30, 2007, OGC published the third version of ITIL (ITIL v3) which consists essentially of five parts and places greater emphasis on managing the life cycle of services provided by information technology.
